E-mobility is a subject in the focus of the general public. We associate it with an emission-free drive technology and the use of renewable energy for transport. Over the next years, we expect a dramatic structural change in the automotive industry and in mobility.

On principle, all technologies required for e-mobility are available and are controllable. The market breakthrough depends mainly on the availability of low-cost and space-saving energy storage. Many laboratories across the globe are very busy researching to increase the energy density of battery cells and to ensure the operating safety of large traction batteries at the same time.

The specialists of IMG Elektronik & Power Systems GmbH have been working in the fields of alternative drive technologies and renewable energy for many years. During this time, we gained extensive know-how in the areas of hybrid and electric drive systems. Our particular strengths are the understanding of complete systems and their technical layout, as well as the development of modules in power electronics and drive control in order to ensure an optimum adjustment to the special requirements of various applications.

Over the past years, we realised ambitious applications and prototypes for shipping, the automotive industry, military vehicles, trams for public transport and also for machine engineering.

Based on this experience, we are also developing more and more individual components such as Inverters, Li-ion batteries, battery management systems, DC/DC transducers and current sensors which are ready-to-use. With our own test vehicle, we can quickly test components and functions. Hence, IMG has the best qualification for innovative solutions in the field of electric mobility.
